The Catholic version of Christianity
The over-the-top torture scenes of the hero
The crazy blood thirsty mobs
The foggy dream scenes in the woods
The sacrifice of the "hero" for the cause.. etc.
Braveheart (1995) is - more or less - a previous version of The Passion of the Christ (2004) !!
